Michael Braswell is a magician, juggler/object manipulator, fire-eater, stilt-walker, and balloon animal artist from East Central Illinois. He began his entertainment career at age eight when he joined a circus-style variety show which toured many festivals and campuses throughout the Midwest in the early '90s.
He taught his first juggling workshop at age ten when he was asked to be a guest instructor for a college Recreation Studies course at Eastern Illinois University. By age 12 he was performing as a freelance entertainer, presenting his own full-length shows at various venues and events throughout the United States. He also had the opportunity to perform a juggling act at the Country Star in Las Vegas, NV as well as in a national talent production called “Star Mania” at Whiskey Pete’s Hotel and Casino.
He continued to perform and teach numerous Performance Arts workshops during the next decade of his life. During this time, he was also a guitarist and drummer for two different bands which toured multiple venues throughout Illinois and the surrounding states.
In his early 20's, he met his current performance partner, Satina, whose act includes juggling/object manipulation, hooping, dancing, and fire spinning. They were soon married and living in Branson, MO where Michael Braswell worked as a creative consultant, stage manager, and technician for The Magic and Comedy of Taylor Reed at The Tower Theater at Branson Meadows. He was also featured in the show as a magician, juggler, and guest emcee. While living in Branson, he performed at numerous locations including a duo act with his wife at Thousand Hills Golf Resort and as a street magician at the Branson Landing.
Currently, Michael Braswell is performing and teaching various Performance Arts workshops throughout the United States along with his wife, Satina. Together, they also host a week-long magic camp for kids called "Performing Magic" and teach juggling and hooping at "Circus Camp" during the summer at Community Center for the Arts in Urbana, IL.
